Dr. Kershena Dickey

Dr. Kershena Dickey is a visionary instructional leader with over 25 years of experience driving excellence in education. As the Assistant Superintendent of School Performance and Accountability for Rock Hill Schools, she leads strategic efforts across key departments including Elementary and Secondary Education, Professional Learning, and Special Education. Dr. Dickey collaborates with district leaders to elevate teaching and learning while mentoring instructional teams to foster innovation, equity, and continuous improvement. Her leadership legacy also includes service in both suburban and urban districts, including Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools—one of the largest districts in the nation.

Throughout her career, Dr. Dickey has earned recognition for transforming school cultures and student outcomes. As principal of Crowders Creek Elementary in the Clover School District, she led the school to an “Excellent” rating on the South Carolina School Report Card. Her previous roles as an English Language Arts Instructional Supervisor and various district-level leadership positions reflect her commitment to rigorous academic standards and impactful professional development. Among her honors are the Golden Apple Award, Teacher of the Year, and selection as a mentor for the esteemed “Call Me MiSTER” program.

Dr. Dickey is known for her dynamic leadership style that blends innovation, emotional intelligence, and strategic action. Whether leading district initiatives, presenting at national conferences, or facilitating workshops on instructional leadership and continuous improvement, she empowers others to grow their capacity and lead with purpose. Guided by a philosophy that champions curiosity, critical thinking, and inclusivity, Dr. Dickey remains deeply committed to creating learning environments where every student—and every educator can thrive.
